I feel a little dirty using this corn cob remover. Just because of the steps required to remove these cores, using your imagination should be enough for you to understand why I am saying this. You must have it on one side due to the jagged edges inside the tool. I hate eating corn on the cob so I found it necessary to purchase this tool and while it's not perfect it works. Depending on the size of the piston, you should use some force when moving up and down. If it's too big, your kernels will just pop out and soften, and if it's too small, they'll just slide off. At $7 at the time of review, that's not a bad price. Pretty consistent with what you'll find at a kitchen gadget store. I'd love to take it to restaurants, but it's a bit bulky for that.
