Also, unlike some others, the wires are strong and long enough for easy attachment. The external dimensions are exactly the same as the old lantern so I didn't have to drill new holes in the boat (which is very important to me) and the bulb is more barrel shaped than the old lantern. The lens is glued to the body, unlike the old one, so should be waterproof for those days when we shouldn't have ventured into the waves anyway, and bright enough to be spotted by any lifeguard. us.
