Excellent microscope for younger students. This microscope is way better than any other cheap plastic kids microscopes. The metal construction and the quality of the lenses are very good. I first bought one and when I received it it was a defective product. So I sent it back, after I returned it I got an email from the retailer and they were so polite and accommodating that they offered to send me another one for free because they believed in their product. So of course I said why not, maybe the first one was just bad, but this one gets better. And I was pleasantly surprised that it did, and it works great. When using this type of microscope, be sure to use the oil immersion technique to view objects at over 900x magnification, this makes viewing the sample much clearer.
