Review on πŸ”Ί Revolutionizing PC Cases: Azza CSAZ-804V Pyramid with RGB Fan, Black by Dave Phobia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent overall build quality - but buy separate motherboard and stand screws!

First impression: shine and uniqueness. Very happy my build is here! Tempered glass around the perimeter and durable aluminum and steel frame. Very few games appear to be of very high quality. Comes with a free RGB fan on top, not bad but I completely replaced it with a Corsair setup so I can use iCUE for everything. Modern Case - Comes with 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB-C on the front. Just the power button, no reset. Large cutouts on all sides of the glass, especially the back. Don't worry about the case temperature even if there are only 4 fans. That thing is heavy! I think it weighs about 50 pounds or more fully loaded. It's actually built in: Generally: It's a bit inconvenient because as far as I know the plate that the motherboard sits on can't be removed. Underneath is an additional base plate where the power supply is connected, making the cable routing feel like playing Twister. screws. The removable screws and stand that come with the case are rubbish. If I were to do that, I would throw away all the removable screws for the PSU and motherboard, measure them, and buy the appropriate steel replacements, or in extreme cases something from the kit. I think the standard screws and standoffs are very cheap aluminium, causing one of the PSU screws to snap off. Luckily the PSU still sits securely with the 3/4 set. The mobo's standoffs and screws weren't screwed in flush, causing play in the board. I replaced them with these from Microcenter and now my board fits perfectly and the screws are flush on all sides. AIO Compatibility: The heatsink MUST be bottom mounted. As far as I know, if you make sure the pump isn't at the highest point of the circuit, you only have two choices: Be Quiet! Pure Loop and MSI Mag series as they have pumps that are not in the CPU box. I used MSI Mag Coreliquid 360mm. It barely fits, but doesn't sit perfectly flat due to the tubing making contact with the aluminum plate that the mobo sits on. YMMV will depend on the hose pitch on your particular radiator, but this is something to keep in mind and make sure of. I can think of a scenario where, depending on tube placement, a 360mm wheel just won't fit. Cable Management: This is nice (sarcastic) because there isn't much space between the power supply and the front panel, resulting in very little space for cable management. To give you an idea, imagine the size of a typical power supply. This is the amount of space you have by default for cable management. The fit was initially very tight because the front panel cables are unreasonably long and take up too much precious and scarce cable routing space if not properly tied (they are not properly tied by Azza). After connecting them together, I had more workspace. On the left side, opposite the heatsink area, is a large area that can house an HDD/SSD. I removed them as I use two M.2s and I was able to cram the extra cable length in there. As you can see below, it's a bit of a rat's nest. Keep that in mind if you want it to look good and be wired. This section is visible as everything is glass so my plan is to take two pieces of wood and paint them black to block the view of this area. The Corsair fan setup helped as all cables could be routed to the Commander Pro. I would definitely recommend some sort of hub to keep clutter to a minimum. Using M.2 has also definitely helped reduce the number of cables needed. As previously mentioned, this freed up space to run excess cables. I don't want to imagine using a power supply that isn't fully modular. Conclusion and performance: no regrets, because I really like the case design. This is a bit inconvenient due to the lack of space for cable management, but I got around this by not using a SATA SSD or hard drive. No problem with the pace of the fall as it is so open. The GPU and CPU don't seem to have any trouble maintaining temperatures, even with the fans I chose for a heatsink.
