I'm a nurse, mother of two and we have a dog so my floors are full of nasty things. My son has also developed severe allergies so I'm looking into steam cleaning to kill things like dust mites and avoid using chemicals that can irritate him. Pros: Very easy to set up. There are 2 steps in which the two parts that make up the handle are snapped together. The cord is long enough in my opinion to fit the first floor of my house which is only about 500-600 square feet. Easy to put on and take off the mat. A strong velcro at each corner keeps the pillow in place. It's really very light. It literally glides across the surface you're mopping. It's small - I can fit it into some tighter spaces if the head rotates (but the head itself is pretty bulky so keep that in mind). Cons - I don't think the water heats up enough - I don't know if this is a defect in my unit or that's how this mop is made. I ran my finger over a tile several times and immediately put my bare foot on it; it just felt warm. You will receive a pillow with the purchase of this device. For the money I paid for these I would expect at least a pack of 2-3. The carpet mat is also not included in the scope of delivery, which I think should be included for the price. There are Velcro fasteners on the underside, on which fluff and dirt can later collect, which makes it difficult to glue the pads later. The head is a bit bulky so it may not fit under some kitchen cabinets. But in my case it's not a problem. It takes a LONG time for the water to flow properly through the pump, it took a lot more than 20 seconds. The included instructions say it will take a few minutes the first time, but I've found that a few minutes is closer to 10 minutes. Overall I like this mop. It really cleans the floors - I used 3 wipes to get rid of all the dirt and cleaning residue we used before. The photo I am attaching is AFTER my husband cleaned the floors with bleach 8 hours earlier. My biggest concern is that the vapor isn't hot enough to kill bacteria. I'm also confused by people's comments that it doesn't cure on dirt - no machine with water can (no washing machines, no dishwashers, no steam mops). , but this weakens it enough that you can easily delete it. There have also been complaints about moving dirt, but it's a mop, not a broom, so I don't know why that's a complaint at all. There have also been complaints about the floor staying wet. I find it stays less damp than a regular mop so can't complain. I feel a lot of the complaints in the reviews are finicky, this is a really decent product. I'll give it a few more days of testing before deciding if I'll swap it out.
