We bought this microscope especially for observing plants. This thing is so cool I can do pretty much anything I can put in the area lol. The screen clarity is fantastic and it is so easy to use. It can be a little finicky when you first try to find the item at gunpoint, but it doesn't take long to figure it out. Adjusting the zoom is very easy, and I've added an optional microSD card so I can easily store and transfer images I take without connecting directly to a computer. You can also record video of what's under the gun. We don't use it for very "scientific" or engineering purposes, but it's a lot of fun to "play" with and see things up close. I would love for the kids to get started and explore different things. My husband brought it home to my mom and now they are obsessed with it too and my mom is going to get my brother one for Christmas. She asked me for a link right away the first time she used it. In case you're wondering, no matter how hard you try, I couldn't see any Demodex mites on my face :( I know it's a weird thing to look for, but I was sickeningly curious since almost all adults have them.
