Review on Eliminate Odors with Litter Genie XL Pail 🐱 - Ultimate Cat Litter Disposal System with Refill Included by Scott Rangel

XL not great: cats

I have a standard toilet genie that likes to have cat poo and smells in it. I don't like that standard gin had to be flipped halfway to empty it, but it contained scents and was a lot more convenient than scooping it into little bags and then tossing that smelly bag in my bin. Since my cat has quite large clumps of urine, I wouldn't last a week before the container is full. I also added a second crate that required its own trash gin for convenience. So I went for the XL version. The XL Genie is larger and therefore has more capacity, as the name suggests. However, only the top is opened to empty the bag, and since the sides of the bucket taper slightly towards the top, it is difficult to remove full bags. I also feel like the XL is also free of litter odors, and it's not just because there's more stuff in it because there isn't any. So if I had to do it again, I'd settle for a normal/standard Genie, or maybe try a different garbage containment system. So far I've stuck with the Litter Genie system because it works pretty well and because it's known that refill cartridges are easy to come by. As I have 2 gins I can make it through the week until garbage day with either of them, although I've switched to one where I feel like scooping out the extra junk just to clean up the stuff that falls a part. To answer any questions I had. *I have used both branded pouch cartridges and generic versions. *I had a bit of a problem finding the beginning of the bag only once after refilling for at least a year. Move slowly and do not blindly pull the cartridge. *I haven't tried putting a regular trash bag in the bucket because I think that defeats the purpose of a thicker plastic bag. * I tie a knot at the top and bottom of the bag. * If the filler is sealed at the bottom, I can't smell it unless I get close and pick it up.
