Overall great accessory, details below: Pros: *Smaller size, more portable than original*Improved ventilation to keep switch cool while docked*Can be used as a stand and not just a dock* Adjustable Angle Potential Drawbacks/Difficulties: *Design has all major cable connections right out the back, so if the surface you're placing the dock on doesn't have much depth, the original Switch dock may physically be better. on the specified area, since all cable connections are on the side. You'll likely need about twice the surface depth to accommodate this dock compared to the original design, so no flimsy shelves. * I have a semi-permanent tempered glass screen protector on the front of my Switch screen. The original dock is still great for that. For this dock, I had to bend the blue "dock mode indicator" LED a bit to get the switch to match the protective film. Now it works fine with a few tweaks but looks a bit weird due to the changes needed. If you also have a screen protector on the Switch, you should be able to modify this dock in a similar way. Definitely an improvement if you don't mind the 2 possible issues!
