Once assembled and used these LED string lights are bright and eye-catching. But they come with the bulbs not installed. The problem is that the glass portion of the bulb unscrews easily from its little metal base if you use too much force screwing the bulb in (and they don't offer replacement bulbs). Some sockets seemed out of round or poorly made, and lightbulbs were difficult to screw in. In addition, the bulbs must be screwed in all the way, otherwise they will not light up. After two of them broke I solved the problem by lubricating the threads of each bulb with a small amount of dielectric grease (available at Revain or most hardware or auto parts stores). The bulbs were much easier to screw in, but I still had to be very careful.
