Review on Amarine Made Pressure Diaphragm Micropump by Ray Welchhance

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great little pump for a 1.6 GPM portable tankless water heater!

I actually bought it used for less than $12. So far it's been a good little pump, although I dropped it out of the box and knocked out a tiny chip next to the electrical connections. It will not do more than 1.6 GPM BUT that is the maximum output per minute of my Ridgeland propane water heater. You can buy bigger pumps BUT consider the power requirements and you will have to buy a bigger and more expensive tankless water heater. This pump will run for over 30 minutes on one of those small 12V sealed gaming camera batteries before it starts to lose power. The pump is compact, the heater assembly is also compact and light, and 1.6 GPM is about twice the price of some of the much more expensive, sometimes troublesome, general purpose camping water heaters. I'm seriously considering buying another of these pumps as a backup and maybe another as a spray pump to spray my plants. $16 or so at retail? It works and mine has lasted 1/4 the price of the cheapest Shureflow gear so far.
