There were problems with slippage of the eye joints.

I purchased this hollow core rope to make a replacement rope handle, using the fiddle provided to make two eyelet connections. The rope is so slick that I had trouble with the joints slipping out. Finally, I sewed a few stitches through the joint to hold it in place.
