I've been using it for 9 years. It took 3 months for noticeable changes. I had significant growth in the first year. Growth slows every year thereafter. After 5 years I feel regrowth is very little or difficult to measure. I had the early stages of Richard Nixon's hairline (big U's with no growth at the temples and noticeable thinning at the crown). Before starting the treatment I tried my best to cover the scalp with gel to make the hair appear thicker and thin areas to be covered. It took three months for the treatment to show any results. Just before regrowth started I would say that initially there was faster hair loss. I looked at it as inactive hair follicles becoming active. In my case regrowth is spasmodic and then you don't see it for a while. After 9 months I had enough offspring and stopped using the hair gel. After three years, you didn't realize how skinny I was unless I got out of the shower. From year 5 to now I have either maintained or improved my growth. Now I have shoulder length hair. There are restrictions. I don't have full regrowth. These are the areas where the loss was most recent, most resurrected, and the sparse areas are the least sparse (ie not fully recovered). I still have bald patches on my temples, even though the edges of the "u" have shrunk almost into a V-shape. I expect if you take it you won't see much recovery in areas that are already hairless.
