This is a nice, well constructed pad with lots of information at a very reasonable price. While I probably won't use all of the features, it's nice to know they're available if I decide to use them. I had an issue where the RPM gauge jumped from 3169 to 6000 (maximum RPM setting) on my Craftsman 26hp Kohler tractor at full throttle. I have the gauge set to a 0 to 6000 RPM range. The problem was intermittent, but recurred fairly frequently when throttling up and down. I originally had 5 coils on the ignition cable next to the spark plug rubber. I removed the "turn" of wire about an inch and a half from the connector and changed the number of turns I had from 5 to 4 to 3 to 6. At 6 turns, 1-1/2" from connector. Problem solved further all throttle stages. Also great to know how many hours the engine has run and how many starts it has seen. I installed this block on the dash after replacing the head gasket after 15 years of intensive use of this tractor I will set the service intervals and maximum RPM settings (warning) now that the RPM issue is resolved I am very happy with my unit - and thanks everyone who helped answer my question.
