If you go to BuJu and are new to writing, and if you're doing Inktober and are new to drawing thin and thick lines, this is by far the easiest to learn. It comes with a brush mark, but I would put it in the medium category. Then you have the dual tip, which is a bit trickier to use and better suited for an advanced letterer or dyer. It's harder to use than a tablet, but it gives you more control and lets you do more with it. You get their reusable brush pen, which is widely considered to be the best. The only thing I don't like about it is that I haven't found a good converter for it, so I'm stuck with refilling cartridges. Everything else about it is perfect. And you get a huge brush with ink that fills the entire barrel. Both are better suited to more advanced drafters and type designers, so this set will grow with you and be useful for a very long time. You also get a complete set of fine eyeliner, a high quality mechanical pencil and a soft white eraser. There are many of them, so you need a pencil case to keep them all. The box isn't great. In fact, I have such a hard time finding things I don't like that I'll complain about the box they came in. I love this set.
