I started 3D printing with FDM and threw myself into the resin market five years later. I used a Mars 2 Pro at my previous job and this printer was very easy to use. Heck, after using it once I was frustrated that I hadn't learned how to print with resin sooner. The print quality is incredible. Level lines are no longer a thing. Gone are the days of sanding and troweling to get a smooth finish. I trusted Proxima because of its price. I bought mine for $140 and it was almost $140 less than the Mars 2 Pro. Based on the reference images and YouTube videos I watched on the Proxima, it was very similar in design to the Mars 2 and Creality Resin lines, with a slightly larger printable area. The Proxima setup/setup instructions were easy and the content creators have created many free videos for you to check out if you are a visual learner. However, there is no documentation on using Chitubox or any other third-party resin program. This is not Voxelab's fault. Again, many content creators have videos on this topic. Do some research and devote time to studying/reading. I didn't go for 5/5 stars because, like others on the internet, I found that the OEM build plate (the thing that goes up and down from the resin tank) was too shiny and smooth, probably due to anodizing or sealing applied to the metal. With the Voxelab line, that's no problem. It is native to any private clone of this printer. elegoo's Mars 2 Pros had a different texture on their build plates. But the lines of voxelab and creativity are very similar in my experience. The texture on the voxel plate resulted in REPEAT failed prints. Purifying 99% of the IPA did not solve the problem. What got me 100% printing success was to take a sheet of 200 grit sandpaper or higher (larger grit/finer grit) and wet sand the platform. This made the surface rough enough for the resin to have something to bind to. This should go without saying, but don't forget to clean the bed after wet sanding. I haven't had a failed print since I did that on day one. I've been typing successfully multiple times a day every day for the past month. This is a very good printer for advanced users.
