I work with aircraft ground handling equipment. I received a complaint from one of our customers who claimed that the headlights on one of their tractors were not bright enough to safely repel an airplane at night. The headlights that the car used to have were normal high beams or fog lights that you could find. at any auto parts store. I contacted the automaker and the original replacement is actually a couple of bulbs which they charged $275 for so I decided to look for cheaper and better options. I stumbled across these bulbs and looked at the reviews. I ordered them not expecting much but I was glad they were half the price of the original replacement headlights. When the headlights arrived I was surprised by their build quality. The back of the lights is all metal and seems pretty solid for what it is. It comes with no wiring harness, just wires coming out the back of the lights and a connector at the end. I ended up cutting these connectors off and just connected them in the usual way. When I turned on the light for the first time, I was completely amazed. They are so bright that I had to tilt them down a bit to avoid glare to other vehicles or planes at the airport. I could see them both during the day and in a well-lit store. Of course, they are more than bright enough at night to safely handle aircraft tows. Unfortunately at the moment I don't know how these lights will hold up to the elements. I will check them from time to time to make sure they don't leak or get wet. I will update my review accordingly. So far I'm very impressed with these headlights and I will definitely be ordering more when I need to replace the headlights again.
