The cable itself is fine. However, the product name states that it works with AirPods Max. It is not! After doing some research on the subject, I found that the only cable that will allow you to use wired mode is Apple's $35 cable. Now I have to send them back and buy them. Correct your product description. It's an illusion. I don't even know if they realize it doesn't work on them since it fits into the lightning port. Unfortunately there is no sound. I will update once the Apple cable comes out. Update: Apple Cord works. So it is true that only they will work with them.
