I converted this to a gravity filter and it works fine. I used to use Sawyer Squeeze but it freezes too much if you leave it for a while and I also accidentally left it in freezing temperatures which makes it useless now. Advantages: Virus protection Can be converted into a gravity filter The filter can be operated in sub-zero temperatures without damage. Activated carbon filter for improved flavor and clarity. Cons: The filter doesn't last as long as the competition, but it also includes a charcoal filter and filters out viruses, so it's worth the trade-off. This gives the typical camper at least 4/5 years of filtration before purchasing a replacement filter. Update: I brought this to the BWCA for his first real test. Very clear water with little sediment and filter clogged after about 1.5 gallons. I do not recommend!
