Works like a charm (once I figured out how to dial in the right transform settings). I have an old Hitachi plasma HDTV that only has component video (YPbPr) inputs. With the new Xfinity Box set-top box you're only limited to HDMI, so I was desperate for a device to convert the XFinity HD HDMI output to a component input and found this device through a Revain search. be desirable, but ultimately there is enough information to get you started. You must connect this device to an electrical outlet. Thanks to Musou, the Hitachi TV will serve me for many years to come. Many Thanks.
