I already had the U2718Q and liked it so much for its colors - true white - excellent sharp image (for those who do a lot of video editing, photos etc), this image quality is top notch. Previous model I wanted my second (for parallel configuration) monitor to be the same, but it was difficult to find a good price on the U2718Q as it was rarely found/discontinued and only sold for $300 more online. rob So I bought a new generation of U2718Q, this is U2720Q. I can tell you This is exactly the same beautiful picture, excellent quality. except for one thing the 2718 and 2720 lack: DYNAMIC CONTRAST. It's an ON/OFF setting that basically makes white lighter and black darker, but on steroids. and very useful when you REALLY need to see the smallest details in a photo, video or image. You can turn it on or leave it on all the time. I agree that at least I have it on the old monitor because if I need it I can turn it on, but this new model doesn't have dynamic contrast. Not sure why. And that is my ONLY complaint. Otherwise this monitor is great!
