The headphones came in their original packaging including the JLab sticker so you can tell they care about this 'updated' version. About $10 less (20% off) on the new price, I'm happy. The headphones arrived almost fully charged, although the battery compartment was not charged. I connected the headphones to my iPhone and my laptop without any problems. The sound is pleasant and the Bluetooth range is very large. I was connected to my laptop and walked out through a metal door and a thick concrete block wall, down a hallway and into a bathroom with another thick wall without sacrificing sound quality. When connected to your phone (at least on an iPhone), it shows the battery remaining in the dock at the top of the screen, which is great. They also talk to you when you first use them to tell you how much battery power is left. You have plenty of button commands to do most things you want to do without touching your device, but I wish the button was on the side. or the top of the earmold and not the front of the earmold as you have to awkwardly hold it with your thumb and press to the top of your ear to avoid just squeezing it in your ear canal. I like the landing. I can't stand Apple headphones - hard plastic just cuts my ears. They come with 3 sizes of ear tips and you can order more if you want (foam ear tips are available for those who want noise canceling). However, my girlfriend tried them and the headphones just didn't stay in her ears. They were only halfway in and a slight shake of the head forced them out. I have no idea why, so it's something to be aware of. The battery compartment is small, but definitely not ideal to keep in your pocket all day. I chose these headphones over any other due to the integrated charging cable on the battery compartment. This is a durable bi-directional USB connector with a short and thick cable. I'm very happy with it as I can easily plug it into my laptop or computer and I don't have to carry a charger around.
