Great interface, but you can't do anything with it!

This laptop gets all the points for interface components: - Great sound - Crisp screen with great, vibrant colors - Quick and easy controls like volume mixer and internet connection tab - Clean, professional looking looks and keyboard . At first glance, however, things fall completely apart unless you live (and pay for) your whole life on the internet. You CANNOT download Office software. Do you want to use Office? Already paid for a copy? Too bad. You must purchase a monthly subscription to use the online version of the Office app! That or do all your work in Google Docs. As someone who needs to use Office for work and has already paid full price for a copy, I'm shocked to receive a brand new laptop that is *useless* for my needs. I am doubly annoyed that this feature/limitation was not noted anywhere - if I had known that I would never have opted for it. In addition, you can download almost nothing else - any information, documents, photos, etc. that you want to save, you must either stay online, or have an external hard drive or adapter drives. The computer also resets the original default browser settings (and it updates afterwards) every time I turn it off, although I went through and changed them because the default search engines etc are terrible. TL/DR: If you've lived online your whole life and you're already paying to store all your information, documents, etc. in the cloud or on an external hard drive, and you're a big Google fan, this laptop will be perfect to you. I would like. If you really need/want something on the computer itself - and to avoid the heaps of monthly fees that come with online-only work/storage - this laptop won't do anything for you. I just want someone (anyone!) to tell me before I try.
