I'm not entirely sure what exactly is in the filter as it is so light it appears empty. Filtered water tastes almost the same as tap water, so I'm not sure what exactly is filtered, if anything. Since Pur filters aren't currently available, they seem like a good replacement, especially since they cost about the same as Pur's retail price. They're not even remotely the same.
