The unit works decently but I had to use the cables that came with it instead of the DP 1.4 cables that I have. There was a slight flickering of the video feed, but it might have been a configuration. On a desk, the device is a little awkward as you need to be able to push a button on the front of the device, but the monitor output is on the front. It also cannot be placed under a monitor or anything like that. See the FAQ if you are using a USB 2.0+ keyboard that needs to be plugged into a 3.0 port on the front panel and you lose the ability to use keyboard shortcuts to switch inputs. Finally, it sends a shutdown signal to the computer when switched, it does not emulate, for most people this is not a problem, but for me this is the biggest problem.
