Feels and looks like satin, not silk.
I bought this pillowcase a few years ago so I was happy to order it again. The new version differs greatly in thickness and material quality. The new version doesn't look like silk at all in my opinion. Feels like a medium weight satin. This newer version also causes my head to overheat. I know it sounds weird but I wake up with a sweaty neck and head when using this pillowcase. It has already been cleaned, so it cannot be returned. If you're looking for a slippery satin case, this could be it. Have fun shopping!
