Took me less than two minutes to swap out the old ones and install a new pair. Went like clockwork. When I installed them I noticed that after inserting the first one before going to the other side it felt very, very stiff and I wondered if I had made a mistake with them. After the second one was fitted it was pretty obvious that they were a lot stronger than my old originals (which is why I replaced them!). When I pushed the hood off the old pillars and let it fall freely, it took me a second to adjust how much pressure I was putting on the hood to close it. There was nothing unusual about that.
