Previous people have noticed that they are filled with debris and shavings. It hasn't changed. The reason for this is that they are assembled and then grounded. They clearly cannot be disassembled for cleaning and deburring after grinding. In order to be usable, the buyer must disassemble them, clean them of sanding dust and then knock off burrs and sharp edges with jewelry files. I haven't lapped them yet but lapping them together with some lapping paste can smooth out the sliding of one half over the other which leaves rough on my set. I overpaid for them thinking this set might not have all the issues of the cheaper ones. So save and get cheaper. And if you're a serious machinist, skip them entirely.
