Review on 🔍 Pentek CFB PLUS10BB Fibredyne Enhanced Carbon by Trevor Garrett

These filters are designed to remove chlorine and filter sediment with 'conditional' reference to other 'smells and tastes'. There is specific performance data for the first two, not the last which includes H2S. However, this filter gave me about 5,000 gallons of decent, but not ideal, H2S performance for my well water. It's about 3 months. So for around $25 I can live with a slight sulfur smell every now and then. I first tried the standard Pentek GAC 10BB and in fact, while it was initially better at removing odors, it also gave up quicker as the throughput rating specs suggest. However, it is better than the chlorine injection system with all its maintenance problems for H2S oxidation.
