Review on Seagate Barracuda 4 TB ST4000DM004 hard drive by Mateusz Szlassa ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

An old portable 2TB Seagate died suddenly after serving with relocation for 6 years; it was dragged on flights, dropped on the floor, chased in the tail and mane for several years in a very warm country so that the plastic of the case could not be touched, and for years 2 after all of the ordeals, being taken out of plastic, he quietly and peacefully ended his life in his home NAS. It, in my opinion, is high praise indeed. I hope this one will endure as long as the $7,999 one I just spent to update my home's file storage and photo backup. It was taken 4 terabytes after a reputable western office published an essay on habré in which they lamented the fact that the 2 terabyte versions of Seagates were problematic for them. From 4TB, it decreased to 1.5%, matching HGST, with both samples coming in at around $10,000, despite the fact that the hitachi pricing is at least $2,000 more. See whether it turns out to be the case. In any event, for amounts between 4tb and 8k, you won't find any comparable options in Hong Kong. After all, I was nervous about ordering a hard drive and not a processor from Germany. Pros
  • When tested at 37–39 degrees Fahrenheit, the 256MB cache recorded read/write speeds of 190/180, making it cheaper than competing products.
Cons
