Inexpensive but effective

Most of the parts in this kit fit easily. I bought these for my son, a 2007 Honda Fit Sport that he only drives to and from school as he only has a school permit (about 3 miles). any way). They were easy to install for the most part, except that the factory parking brake pin didn't fit the hole in the shoes. I had to drill some holes to get the pin in. I tried banging the pins through the holes but I was concerned that the parking brake pin would deform. If we have a car long enough to replace the rear end again, the parking brake pin needs to slide out of this block. What's nice is the kit comes with all the parts to completely replace everything but the wheel cylinder and parking brake pin. It was a very complete set. If you're on a budget like us, this kit is for you. There are better known brands that cost significantly more, but they'll be fine for our new rider and his six miles a day. Another observation: the drums in the picture are not the ones in the box. After seeing what was on my son's car compared to the one in the picture I was nervous about the installation. However, the drums in the box matched those in my son's car, which are smooth drums. These are not the dimpled sport drums in the picture. I would recommend this kit. Can't comment on durability as we only work on the rear brakes for about a month. At $100 for the entire kit, it's hard to say no to this kit.
