Worth the money - for a lifetime. Beware of extreme cold; QD fittings can freeze

I love this bottle the way it is. I've had no trouble cleaning it, never had a plastic taste and it's great to have a small amount of electrolyte solution in addition to water for those long days when you're working hard and sweating. It seals well, there's a strap hole at the top so it doesn't fall into your pack when you empty it, the valves and check valves don't leak, and it's pretty sturdy once you've survived a few motorcycle accidents. The downside is that the bite valves don't flow as fast as we'd like. The lack of a valve cover is kind of unconvincing, but I eat enough dirt while riding that I don't really notice or care. One feature that stands out for superior design and poor performance is the QD connectors on the bottom. During a very cold winter ride, the hose froze up along with the valve and the valve never worked properly again. At this point it became a single chamber bubble. Finally, it's a bit pricey for what it is. $42 for a bubble? I'm revising my rating from 4 to 5 stars after using it for a few years. I still have the original from 2015 and still use it. I almost never wash it, but mostly fill it with water and rinse it after using the electrolyte. I've seen my kids bust a few other $15-a-piece blisters (and making mistakes on the track or in the race REALLY sucks), so Dvide paid off. I bought another one this summer for a different pack and it's excellent too. It's tough, the water tastes good after years of use and mishandling, and the QD fittings still haven't failed, other than freezing and apparently cracking.
