This will no longer work and can make the problem with the dog worse.

Collar beeps and shocks without remote control. This is a fairly large collar suitable for a large breed. Regardless of what the advertising says, the collar will beep and activate when the dog wearing it interacts or when the collar picks up sounds from another dog barking. I have two dogs. The one without a collar (puppy) started it repeatedly while tied to the older dog. The collar itself often slips down and becomes loose around the neck. It was then triggered when he was shaking after getting up from a nap. We only used the collar at home. Yes, and not for long. Even with proper use, our problems became problems of a different nature. And in our experience, the beep was enough. We didn't have to shock him. But NOW our dog instead whimpered from time to time and was VERY immobile to avoid the collar reacting to any movement. Even if it was off. He acted differently. As a result, he now whimpers incessantly and won't climb into the cage. Even in the hours when he wasn't wearing a collar, his behavior changed. Just not in the way we expected. he still behaves like a completely different dog. He's been unhappy and nervous all the time since he's been using it. This has been set for the beep only. When he was removed for about a week he started barking again. And he whined. About the bark. A LOT OF. Constantly… well, barking all the time in between. Every time someone stepped into the driveway. Everyone in the house as they entered the people that LIVE here barked. So we thought we'd give it a little try tonight but the collar stopped working at all. All it does is light up and indicate full charge. I am very disappointed in this product. Likewise the dog. Do yourself and the dog a favor Don't waste your money.
