Highly recommended. I had one like this a few years ago in a cold New York winter when the heater was drying the air. It really helped me sleep better. I now live in a dry part of Southern California (too far from the water) and bought one of these for our bedroom, kids room and a full size for the living room. The air is pleasant and my orchids are happy. This keeps us all from getting stuffy as the air conditioner sucks moisture out of the air day and night. I've seen a lot of complaints, but over the years I've had about 5 or 6 of these devices with no problems. We use filtered water and clean them with vinegar every few weeks to prevent mold from growing on them. The ones we have now are about a year and a half old and work like new.
