I wore them during a week long stay at Disneyland and rode them several miles. I also wore them while rafting in the Smokey. Great shoe if you expect to get wet. It is very convenient to walk both on a dry flat surface and on wet slippery stones. Very light and comfortable, even when wet (and while swimming). Shoes dry overnight. I recommend thin, quick-drying socks. Holes in the sole of the shoe let water through (and also serve as effective drainage). Her socks get wet in a shallow puddle. The soft soles are heavily worn. This likely means a shorter lifespan than running shoes. This is not surprising, but they are holding up much better than expected. With short, quick-drying socks, they look like running shoes.
