Review on 🔧 Moog Caster/Camber Adjusting Kit - K100070 by Randy Brimmer

Much stronger than stamped sheet metal mounts

For some reason the leveler at the shop where the regulators were installed is afraid to overtighten the control arm bolts even after I showed him the 222ft/lb spec. Undertorque bolts that were part of the sheet metal kit they installed allowed the control arms to move, which initially manifested itself as a "knock" in very tight corners. Also, after 2000 miles, the tires showed significant shoulder wear, which I initially tried to fix, but it's much worse now. The movement of the control levers destroyed the sheet metal mounts. I took the truck back to the same shop and they replaced the kit and re-leveled it at their own expense. same guy It ended up going on until closing and they didn't test the truck. As soon as I turned onto the freeway, I could tell the alignment was way off. The truck was difficult to steer and did not move immediately after hitting a manhole cover, pothole, etc. It was about 5 miles from home and the sheet metal brackets he had just attached were flattening out again. I installed these Moog controls and off we went. to another shop and told his sad story. I suspect they misunderstood the point (lost translation?) because although I asked them to torque the bolts to 250lb/ft per Moog's instructions, when I got home the bolts were loose. However, because these mounts are strong, they survived the ride (about 2 miles). I used a silver marker to mark the location of the elliptical washer on the brackets, then tightened the bolts and added an extra lock nut to each bolt as a lock nut. The truck drives fine but I'm not sure if the wheel alignment/tire wear has been fixed yet. Does anyone know how to say "Tighten the screws!" in Spanish?
