Great extra layer of winter cycling socks

I wear these as an extra layer of winter cycling socks (Pacific Northwest 40s) recommended by another Revine resident and they do a great job. I wear size 11 wide shoes and size 10 socks still fit in without feeling too tight or tight. The fit of these socks is a bit odd (something like a cone at the toes and V-shaped seams at the bottom) but doesn't get in the way when you put them on. Another user recommended a low cut, but I would recommend "high" for cycling: the bare ankle is not exposed at the bottom of the pants. They are still a low/medium crew sock size which I prefer. I wear them on my boots with wind protection, insulation, toe pads and now my feet don't get too cold or too hot.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
