That sucks.

A HUGE piece of junk. Tried to cook beans for soup, put 2.5lbs of beans in slow cooker 6 hour update - beans were raw, same hard as in slow cooker 12 hour update - same, called Amazon to be told he should just set it on for the morning. Not a fan of beans for breakfast. 18 hour update - wow. At this point I lost my taste for soup beans. Had almost a full day and the water is hot but like a hot shower. The beans are mostly raw, the water is now slightly colored. That's positive. 24 hour update - well, water seems to be popular too, but unfortunately the beans are still raw. 30 hour update - SUCCESS! they are finally edible, still a little tough, but I can finally puree the beans with little effort. Dear God I've been waiting for what feels like an eternity I was supposed to buy pizza for dinner yesterday nothing else was ready because I planned a big plate of beans I'm afraid the beans have gone bad it's been so long. The beans are finally almost ready, but at this point I'm afraid it will be in a day. 48 hour update - they appear to be done, tried a sip, didn't taste spoiled or fermented but I guess if I've had soup beans I'm not sure. 49 hour update. Well, the woman just got home and it's time to eat, we'll try. After finishing that bowl of beans, I feel like it should take a lot less time. I have a Crocker brand pot that could cook this in about 4 hours but the wife wanted a new digital one, we just didn't realize it would take two full days to cook something as simple as boiling. beans. Return and buy another brand. Hell, we could just stick with our 15-year-old pot, which works a lot better. subject to clarification.
