I had a smaller 4 amp pack but it wouldn't charge a badly drained 12v battery - it charged it as a 6v battery detected. This charger with 7.2A there is no such problem. The battery was charged without any problems. It displays the battery voltage and charging current during use, so you can see what's going on (BatteryTender doesn't).
