I bought this to use with a camcorder (Canon Vixia HF R800). The camera requires a standard 3.5mm stereo jack, and luckily this mic comes with a TRRS to TRS adapter. However, using an adapter didn't work. It just made a slight buzz/hiss and made no noise unless I yelled and then it was just static. I have a wired microphone which I plugged into the camera and made sure it sounded good. So it's clear that the problem was with this new microphone. I then tried the new microphone with my Samsung S10+ phone (with a TRRS connector without an adapter). The phone correctly said "Recording with USB mic" and I captured audio from the video. Then I tried again with the camera and the stereo adapter. Same results; He still wasn't working with the camera. UPDATE #1: After contacting the company, we concluded that the adapter is faulty. I decided to return the mic but they decided to just refund my money. While my experience with the product warrants 1 star for not being able to do what I bought the product to do, I gave them 3 stars for their customer service. UPDATE #2 Curious if it really was the adapter. or device, I bought and tried a new TRRS to TRS adapter. No, same results. It's clear the problem is in the device - lots of noise, no sound unless I yell into the mic, and then just glitches. (BTW: I've confirmed it's not a camera since I bought another wireless mic and it works great.)
