Put on your headphones and turn the stereo up to 11. This is a great concert, with surprisingly good sound quality for one of the latest releases of somewhat dubious origin. It covers everything from early rave-ups ("Hot Rails to Hell", "ME 262") to later pop-inspired gems ("Dr. Music", "Burnin' for You"). I'm not sure why Blue Öyster Cult felt it necessary to cover Steppenwolf's proto-metal hit when their catalog is consistently strong, but the band made this song completely theirs. This is a band that rocks melodic metal without sacrificing intelligence or aggression and this gig shows them at their peak.
