Review on 4-Inch Israeli Emergency Bandage by PerSys Medical by Kyle Wesener

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They obviously work

I keep several of these 4" and 6" picks in my backpack in the car for a long time. I also convinced my parents to buy some as my father is on blood thinners. Luckily I never found a reason to open it, but a few days ago my parents were out on the water with friends and my dad slipped into the engine bay of a 30ft boat while towing something. Luckily, he landed without deforming a bit, but his leg caught on something sharp and suffered a wound that would bother even someone who doesn't take blood thinners regularly. It was bleeding profusely and it was hard to tell how deep it was so he used one of those bandages to stop the bleeding and they got the boat ready to leave the bay and get to the dock so he could go to the hospital could drive. if needed. The bleeding slowed down significantly after he applied the bandage and almost stopped after a few minutes and although we later found out it wasn't very deep he ended up not going to the hospital (I think he might sew up later himself ). So I think the association has done it. He said it was easy to open and use, put good pressure on the wound, and stopped the bleeding significantly. I still have no personal experience with any of them - don't take that as a complaint but if I hadn't trusted them before I would trust them now.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
