Excellent oil brush cleaner. I don't even need a toxic paint thinner (white spirit, turpentine) to clean. (I've also used Old Masters brush cleaner, and I really like it too.) I first wipe excess paint off the brush heads with a rag, then dip each brush head in this DL Hand Cleaner and vigorously rub the thick-coated bristles into the brush the surface. Wipe the paint off with the palm of the other hand, then rinse and repeat until no paint remains on the brush hairs. (If I use a toxic pigment like cadmium, I don't wash it down the sink drain.) I then lay the brushes flat to air dry and dry my hands thoroughly. Pile up excess oil paint, mix it together (usually a dirty grey) and then place in a container to save for later use as it's still good paint. I rub a spoonful of DL Hand Cleaner into the surface of the palette, rub vigorously with an old dish sponge and water, then rinse and repeat until there is no color left on the palette. I'm deducting 1 star because, as others have said, the container was completely damaged in transit. The contents leaked into the shipping plastic, and the USPS had to cover the whole thing with plastic and a letter of apology. I reconstituted about 8 fl oz of this DL Hand Cleaner Gelatin Cream. Otherwise great product!
