A little beep makes a big difference

So we're less than a week away from this collar but I wanted to write a review now and will update as soon as it changes. We have two chihuahuas, one is calm, the other suddenly started barking at EVERYTHING about 2 months ago when dogs rushed through the hall. We have since moved and now live in a quieter apartment, but this one has floor-to-ceiling windows. The dog WON'T stop barking at the passing boats and seagulls to the point of injuring himself from tripping from excitement. We tried all sorts of positive reinforcements to stop the barking, but nothing helped. We decided to try a vibrating collar as a last resort and if that doesn't work we'll speak to the trainer. has stopped. We're still getting used to it and trying to figure out how to add positive reinforcement to the hum so it doesn't get scared of boats/birds/other dogs etc. But so far it's been amazing. Now when he barks, it's a single bark, and then the beep makes him stop and move away from the stimuli. He sort of got the problem out of the way now. This isn't real. Now he sleeps quietly by the windows, boats do not bother him at all, and he rarely notices birds. For example, we use it for several hours at a time when we have it in a room with large windows or when we go for a walk in the street. Only when we see him do we put it on him. At first he was very confused and very upset when he was squeaked for the first time. He dropped his tail and fell. But now he's more familiar with the sequence and less startled after the beep. It's more of a reminder for him to stop barking. I will update if/when anything changes!
