Review on Toshiba Canvio Portable External HDTD320XS3EA by Dan Quiceno

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really plug 'n play

it took me about 15 minutes to set up the drive (over the past 35 years I've learned to be very ODC when installing computer hardware). I plugged it in, did something else for 30 seconds, and looked. the Power/Use indicator lights up. Just download the backup software, change history and manual from the link on the new hard drive. 23% after 8 minutes to give you an idea of its speed). This is the easiest external hard drive I've ever made (with the possible exception of my previous 1.0TB Toshiba which was stolen). It couldn't have been easier. Just follow the instructions already loaded. Buy this! (Toshiba Canvio Slim) without hesitation. Switch to cheaper ones. They are not much cheaper and you will pay for them over time. I've had my previous Toshiba 1.0TB (obviously an earlier version) for at least 6 or 7 years and it never crashed. Not even! Following this enthusiastic recommendation, please note that I can be very harsh on reviews if the product is marginal. In fact, I only gave it 4 stars for service (because I NEVER needed it :)) and storage capacity (just because 5.0TB hard drives are now available, which is why the price has dropped so drastically). ) I think it was around $70-80, only less than six months ago I paid $53.) If you need more storage, you absolutely can't go wrong with this choice!
