I found the right baby :)

I have various 1TB to move files and movies from my computer. Long story short, every item I've purchased was crap and had to be returned. I saw it, read the reviews and decided to buy it. I'm so glad I found something that works in Tony Tiger Voice GRRRREAT! It's thin, easy to carry, and charges quickly. I will order another one. Many Thanks

Description of the sale of items

At the time of making the comparison, the choice of material in aluminum and a capacity of 4 TB and the comparison procedure, without embargo, cuando ya llego el paquete y lo abrí I know that I have a 2TB capacity version and there is also a Toshiba 4TB version. No lo devolví, porque igual sigue esstando a buen precious, sin embargo, no era lo que esperaba.

Unreliable, DO NOT BUY

I have a similar Toshiba 2TB Canvios that died after 2 years which I didn't think was long term use. This new 2TB drive stopped working after 2 weeks, it kept disconnecting from my laptop, sometimes the data cannot be read. I am very disappointed in the quality of Toshiba hard drives. Contacted Toshiba by phone but it didn't help. My rating will not change unless they provide me with a viable option that I can trust to enter my details.

Customer service required

I love this handy device. It appears to function effectively as a hard drive and does a good job of storing and using it. However, within the second week of use it started to slow down and needed to be scanned and repaired. I hope this is an isolated incident and will not happen again. For example, I hope that this does not explain the selling price. Just take a look. So far, however, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

VERY SLOW for storage

Don't let the USB3 interface fool you. This device has a sustained write speed of 2MB/s (when connected to the USB2 port of a Dell High Performance Workstation). USB2 has a theoretical speed of 60 MB/s. I'm expecting at least 20MB/s transfers (when nothing else is doing I/O on that entire root hub); What I get is 10 times worse. The I/O speed in this case appears to be limited by the device, not the interface. This is for long term recording while backing up, which I think would be common…

Cool stylish good storage but probably fragile

Overall this product is great for storing data and files as long as you can keep it intact. I've worked with similar portable hard drives in the past and the plugin on the hard drive itself is a bit brittle. It's very likely to break if you don't take care of it properly (and it can still break if you do). It may take time, but if you don't keep it in a safe place, it will most likely break. With this hard drive you get a wire. One end of this cable is a USB cable that you connect to your…

Really plug 'n play

it took me about 15 minutes to set up the drive (over the past 35 years I've learned to be very ODC when installing computer hardware). I plugged it in, did something else for 30 seconds, and looked. the Power/Use indicator lights up. Just download the backup software, change history and manual from the link on the new hard drive. 23% after 8 minutes to give you an idea of its speed). This is the easiest external hard drive I've ever made (with the possible exception of my previous 1.0TB…
