They are very bright and a great safety upgrade for the driver. Brighter daytime running lights and brighter brake lights make me more visible to other drivers, which is very good for both, saves energy and protects the charging system and battery. I fitted them to a standard 1980 Yamaha XS850 brake light housing which has 2 bulbs aiming the bulbs straight at the lens which is perfect for them. They illuminate the entire lens very brightly and with a very noticeable difference between the chases. and brake light without delay. The LEDs light up instantly, unlike traditional 1157 bulbs which have a slight delay before the brake light comes on. I had to make sure they were installed correctly, if they don't work after installation they have to be rotated 180°, they only work if the polarity is correct for each bulb. I am very happy with these LEDs, they are perfect for my application and I feel safer and more visible from behind day and night.
