I bought this cleanser based on mostly positive reviews because I wanted to try a different facial cleanser. Unlike some cleansers, it cleaned my face without leaving it overly dry, but I still recommend pairing it with a moisturizer. I also like the woody scent. I was very surprised by the amount of "herbal scrubs" (as the packaging calls them) this cleanser contains. In fact, it looks like someone poured the contents of a wood chipper into a bottle. We are talking about pieces of wood. However, if you like an exfoliating face scrub, this one will do. The only reason I haven't used this product is because I don't want to exfoliate my face every time I wash my face, or even every time. a day because it really irritates my skin. You have some control over how much you exfoliate depending on how "aggressively" you wash it, but I prefer non-exfoliating products for everyday use.
