Review on Dometic RV Thermostat 3106995 032 by Fernando Hudson

This was purchased to replace the original Dometic factory analogue thermostat panel in my 2005 Coachmen Capri 29FKS caravan. This product looks just like the original. It was a straight-forward replacement with no fuss other than making sure the various wires were connected to the correct sockets on the terminal block. This panel mounts using the same mounting screws that held the old panel in place. I believe this new panel also came with some new screws that I didn't have to use. I installed this unit in about 10 minutes, largely due to the careful placement of the various wires in their proper places on the terminal block. The circuit board on this one looked a bit updated from the original. I guess they tweaked the circuit layout a bit to improve functionality and/or reliability, but I can't tell what the exact differences are and why, but it works the same as the original panel. I knew that the thermostatic slide was prone to wear over time as it is probably a carbon chain wiper style variable resistor that wears out over time. I am very happy with this panel and the fact that it was a direct replacement for my old original panel.
