This pan will not heat up when properly connected to the mains. I need to put something under the electrical connector to support the connector to ensure a tight connection so it actually gets hot. I was really sad because I paid quite a bit for it and my $15 pan from Black Friday 10 years ago works better than this one. It's easy to clean. If it wasn't for the quarantine and risk of being sent back, I would have returned. It's also unpredictable in the heat. My old skillet had temperature settings like 350, 400, etc., which made pancakes a lot easier to make than the ambiguous 1-5 on this one. All I know is 5 pancakes on fire and 4, you never know if they cook or how slow/fast.
