Review on 45MM MVMT Classic Men's Watch with Leather Band - Minimalist Analog Watch with Date by Holly Hernandez

Bought the watch because of an MVMT advertisement on the podcasts I listen to. I realized this watch was rubbish after about 2 minutes on my wrist. Pros: The packaging is very pretty. They are made from leather-like material, have a soft lining and have extra links should you need them. Very good presentation. The band is heavy and doesn't feel as cheap as other watches with a heavy case and a light band. Cons: The finish was grainy and gritty, not smooth at all. My Fossil and Citizen have a matte finish like this watch but still feel smooth. This watch just doesn't feel finished. The strap appears strong and heavy, but the watch itself is not. The pin is difficult to pull out and set the time, and the "crystal" doesn't look like a crystal at all. Ugliness: I decided to bring it back and went online because I felt crazy. Everyone is talking about this MVMT watch, so I had to find out if other people felt the same about this watch as I did. What I found just pissed me off. It turns out that MVMT simply buys cheap Chinese watches for $5 each, puts their name on them, and inflates the price by 1000% (no exaggeration). They say they eliminate middlemen, but the truth is they are middlemen. This company steals money from people. For the same money you have several watch options from well-known brands and you really get a quality product. As I mentioned earlier, I already have a fossil and a citizen. I ended up returning it and buying a Seiko Recraft for a little less. I will never buy an MVMT watch again and would advise you to do a little research before giving your money to these scammers.
